Hi Dr Helwig. First let me say you are just an open book on helping others. I’m sitting here now viewing you teaching us, and I just want to say thank you on behalf of every present, past, and future counselor. You may vaguely remember me but I am the career test taker in other words. This will be my 8th and final attempt. I have studied, taken group sessions and individual sessions along with your materials, and some others. This time I will have accommodations from my doctor and the board. I can sit and talk with you and anyone intelligent about the material. So, Dr. Helwig, I’m testing again probably late March early April because my window is May. I took my CPCE exam for the final time (3rd) and finally passed! I purchased your dvds and book for this attempt, and it worked wonders for me. Dr. Helwig, thank you for your materials. I used both the study guide and workshop videos. I found Rosenthal's materials frustrating and overwhelming, whereas your material is concise, clear and straightforward. I took the NCE yesterday and am awaiting the results. I feel that if I had taken the full 8 weeks as you recommended with the material I would have had better results. As it stands now I scored 97. Debra of Arizona

Dr. Helwig, I could not pass up an opportunity to let you know that I passed the NCE last week.  I know you get a lot of these types of emails. Well, here is why I feel it necessary to share my story. I graduated with my Master’s in Counseling. I had every intention of becoming licensed. Life got in the way every time I tried. Some of the obstacles were pretty traumatic. I ended up becoming an administrator for a social service agency. Here thirty (30) years later (yikes!) I still felt a yearning to fulfill the dream of becoming licensed. After using the pandemic shutdown to take the classes that are now required that were not in 1994, I was approved to sit for the exam. Self-doubt, anxiety, and determination along with your study guide were what assisted me. I purchased a lot of other recommended materials but they did not work for my learning style.
