Thank you so much for your hard work at creating an excellent study guide for the NCE. I just took it in Tacoma and passed! I am not filling out the form, but am giving you the following feedback. I rated your materials very helpful all the way down the instrument.
You have been with me constantly for weeks. Your guide was the only one I used. I am a 59 year old master’s level therapist, in private practice. The other person who took the exam studied Rosenthal. When I left she was still working at it.
Thanks a million!
I just wanted to let you know that I just took the NCE last Wednesday (4-20-11) and PASSED!! This was my second time taking the test. I used your dvd’s and read through your study guide. I graduated in 2005 so you can imagine how long this has been a burden for me. I tried numerous study materials including Rosenthal (which was incredibly overwhelming, if I might add) but they were not nearly as good as your information (money well spent!!).
I want to specifically thank you for the time and energy that you have devoted into getting us counselors to pass the NCE!! What great work you do (along with your many other achievements)!!
First of all, I want to say that I’m getting ready to take my NCE this coming Saturday and that by far, your material is the best one I have! I’m glad that I ended up getting the study guide as well after all! I will be taking the CPCE at the end of this month as well!!
Thanks to your 6th Edition of the Study Guide and DVDs I successfully passed my CPCE in October and just recently received my Master’s Degree in Human Development Counseling from the University of Illinois at Springfield’s CACREP accredited counseling program!!!!! Thank you!
I wanted to let you know that I found your study materials to be of great use because I passed the NCE on my first try with a score of 117. The mean this year was 110.83 with standard deviation of 16.83. Majority of questions this year were from helping relationships (36 total) and professional ethics (29 total) though I have to say while taking the test most everyone I spoke with really felt it was heavy in career (20 total). I am not sure what it is about the test itself that makes you feel that way but it does at first glance seem to move in a career direction which is extremely misleading. Anyway thank you again for the way you have designed your study guide because it was easy to follow and really went to the heart of what I needed to focus on.
I have been out of the workforce for 4 years & needed to take the NCE since I’ve moved & my LPC didn’t transfer. Was nervous about the exam, but your guide was great! I felt very prepared & was glad to have one guide to study from. Good hints/advice about what to focus on & helped me in areas I knew I needed more work! Thank you! Appraisal & research areas were most helpful to me, as was the practice exam.
