CEUs through ACA

In a previous blog statement, I stressed the importance of licensed and certified counselors in making sure they accrue the necessary continuing education hours (credits) for continued licensure or certification. There are many ways for accruing these required CE hours through the American Counseling Association whether you are a member or not.

Another avenue opened up this year for counselors. In lieu of attending the ACA Annual Conference and Expo, you could participate in the Live Streaming of several ACA sessions at your office or home without attending the Montreal conference. In fact you could have earned up to 15 CEUs but had to watch each session live as it was conducted in Montreal. This included keynote addresses and education sessions.

I suspect that this option will be an annual event as part of the ACA Conference which will be in Nashville in 2017. The fee for this option was $249 for ACA members and one hundred more for non-ACA members.
